Looks like Tiger Woods’ former caddy Steve Williams has found a new home, and by the looks of the Firestone Tournament, it may be a nice change. Williams was fired by Tiger Woods last month but has landed on his feet as the new caddy for Adam Scott. How is that working out? Well, Scott leads the Firestone after two rounds.
Why did Adam Scott choose Steve Williams as his caddy? Well Williams does have a pretty good track record, albeit he was caddy for the world’s best golfer for a almost a decade, but still, Williams has shown that he is one of the best. This should be the only reason that Scott has, but there are probably some underlying factors as to why he did this.
Having Williams on the course could really play with Tiger’s head – an already troubled head that has shown he is very beatable as of late. Whatever the reason is, this situation makes for a great story, and could lead up to something very interesting. How fun/interesting would it be to see Tiger Woods and Adam Scott paired together on Sunday? Would they even speak? Would Tiger get rattled?
The way it stands now we may not know, as Woods is sitting tied for 18th going into the weekend. Whatever happens should be interesting, as Scott and Williams will have a lot of questions to answer.
